About SCBA

SINGARA CHENNAI BUILDERS ASSOCIATION was formed in the year 2000, with the efforts of Mr. AL. Arumugam, Mr. Chandrasekar, Mr. Thangavelu, Mr. Salim and Mr, Balu appropriately supported by Mr. S.S.Muhammad Ibrahim with the teamwork of many likeminded professional friends. Our Singara Chennai Builders Association is one of the oldest associations in Tamilnadu and is the mother body of many builders' associations now operating in Tamil Nadu.

Achievements of the SINGARA CHENNAI BUILDERS' ASSOCIATION

  • On 18.6.2002, the Government of Tamil Nadu announced that all buildings would be required to obtain a Completion Certificate for availing amenity service connection like drinking water, sewerage and electricity. The court ruled in favor of the SINGARA CHENNAI BUILDERS' ASSOCIATION and ordered a waiver and thus provided an easy way for acquaintances involved in the construction industry to obtain such connections without any hurdles.
  • As per the Local body’s circular, the Non FSI car parking area is calculated along with the ground floor FSI area, which caused hardship for the Builders’ In order to get relief, the Office Bearers of the SCBA met with a number of government officials, including several ministers, and fought to remove such order and succeeded, which success was a boon to those involved in the construction industry.
  • Won the legal battle to amend the Building Regularization Act as per the local body Rules - dated 23.12.2002.

SINGARA CHENNAI BUILDERS' ASSOCIATION has also approached the concerned Ministers, Government officials and officials in all respects for immediate resolution of all issues related to the construction sector, and strived to create a favorable working environment for builders by highlighting the hardships and losses incurred by the construction industry.

Singara Chennai Builders Association had participated in many sectoral struggles, joining hands with the BUILDERS’ ASSOCIATION OF INDIA and other confederation of Flat promoters associations for the issues which are affecting the construction industry.

In order to have the knowledge of the modern developments in the construction industries, Many Experts from the Construction and allied industry are invited to attend special meetings and the Association members are made to understand and augment their knowledge about the industry and it’s developments.
